How It Works (Clinical Mechanism)
Microwave diathermy uses electromagnetic waves at 2450 MHz to produce deep tissue heating in a more focused area than shortwave. The energy is preferentially absorbed by tissues with high water content (muscle, blood) and creates uniform heating at depths of 1–3 cm. The localized heating accelerates metabolic activity and increases tissue pliability.
